Converting audio / video files to MP3
1) Open the file you would like to convert by pressing the 'Browse' button in
the input section.
2) Choose 'MP3' from the 'Convert To' section.
3) Set the ouput quality by setting the bitrate, sample rate and number of audio
channels you would like to have in your file from the 'Output Quality' section.
1 channel = mono, 2 channels = stereo. Higher bit rates and sampling rates
result in a higher quality and larger MP3 file. Lower bit rates and sampling
rates result in a lower quality and smaller MP3 file. The most commonly used
settings for MP3 are 128 bit rate with 44100 sampling rate.
4) Choose the output folder from the 'Output folder' section by pressing the 'Browse'
button.
5) Click on the 'Convert' button to start the conversion process.
6) A new window will now open. If there are no problems the conversion will
continue automatically. If there are problems such as an existing file name then
you will be given a choice to over write the file or to cancel.
Converting Wave audio / video files to Wave files.
To convert audio / video files to wave files the procedure is the same as above
except instead of choosing 'MP3' in the 'Convert To' section you would choose
'Wave' .
